I have a pair of CM3 and OM1s. I found the following in my case : The latter is extremely natural, the former slightly lean with some upper mid glare. The CM3 in actual use had 3db less output than the OM1. The CM3 isn’t very directional at all, so if you’re recording a low orchestra and people are coughing, it’ll show up readily. All in all, I’m pleased with the mics.
